Czech Film Breakfast
13.06.2021, 11:30
Zmiana Klimatu, 6 Warszawska St.
ticket: 10 zł – at the Kino Forum and on https://bilety.bok.bialystok.pl/
Czech cinema is like svíčková na smetaně – it drips with velvety sauce, but still has meat in it. Like Czech cuisine, it can be hard to digest – it does not lack surrealism, absurdity and macabre. Those who especially like spicy jokes will surely like it, but not only that. Sensitive people with a delicate palate, who prefer to enjoy the mild taste of film – warm desserts or visual delicacies, will also find something for themselves. However, we recommend that you take your time with consumption and do not be content with just the first bite of it. When we allow the content (of the movies) to reach our taste buds (and ganglia), we can discover the true depth of the dishes that have been served.
For the Czechs, a meal together with other people is one of the most important ways of building closeness – we will be able to taste this subject as part of a Czech film breakfast. We will look at various types of relations: relationships, encounters with strangers, but also – perhaps the most difficult – relationships with oneself. Nechte si chutnat!
