Grażyna Łobaszewska – concert at the I NIEMENOMANIA Vocal Competition
For the first time the world heard the music of Grażyna in 1971 at the FPR in Zielona Góra. Next year she moved to Poznań, which became for several years her “second home”. From that moment her career rolled rapidly. It could not be otherwise, because, as says Krzysztof Scieranski, bassist and composer, Grażyna is “the blackest of white women.” Critics without hesitation compare singer with Aretha Franklin and Billie Holiday.
The audience is charmed not only by perform of songs written especially for Grażyna by the greatest Polish composers of music, but also her own interpretations of jazz standards, gospel also very personal versions of carols from around the world. (more information www.lobaszewska.pl )
