„The Lost Pearl and Two Worlds”is the story of a Białystok tenement house at 6 Parkowa St. and its tenants. It is also the story of the inhabitants of a village near Bielsk Podlaski.

“The Tenement house at 6 Parkowa St. is like a pearl lost in the modern world. It is a kind of border between two worlds – ancient and modern. It stands out with its beauty. The described story of its former inhabitants arose from the longing for a world I never knew, but subconsciously missed. This unknown dream world meets the world close to me. The world of my ancestors and, by the way, mine. Both worlds are connected, and at the same time they share the lost pearl that I am trying to find” – Iwona Zinkiewicz.

Iwona Zinkiewicza forester by profession, she works at the Arboretum in Kopna Góra. Tour guide in the Podlasie Voivodeship and a lover of local history. “The Lost Pearl and Two Worlds” is her first book.
