Katarzyna and Andrzej Mazurkiewicz: Kashmir – in Search of Himalayan Paradise

October 21st, 2017, 2 PM
Forum Cinema, 5 Legionowa Street
tickets: 10 PLN, available at the Forum Cinema’s box office and on bilety.bok.bialystok.pl

Kashmir is a large Himalayan valley on the border of India and Pakistan. The travellers exploring the Indian Himalayas for years will talk about captivating landscapes, everyday life and difficult history of Indian Kashmir. Because of its beauty, Kashmir is often compared to paradise. But life is not easy there. The partition of Kashmir between India and Pakistan in 1947, three Indian-Pakistani wars in Kashmir, the demarcation line and separatist movements make the political situation there not always stable.
