Extremely artistic vision of the hero’s journey through seven heavens. The actor playing Enoch tells his adventures, visualizing it at the same time with ceramic icons.

This incredibly visual story is an excellent drama material. The author, reaching for the Slavic Book of Enoch, saw in it a multicultural aspect. This apocryphon is preserved only in the Slavic translation from the 10th century and is very important for Christianity. The contact with this work makes us realize the Judeo-Christian roots of Europe, above the divisions for Catholicism and Orthodoxy, which is especially important in Podlachia, building the community above the religious divisions.

Jerzy Łazewski
Polish theatrical and film actor, director, pedagogue. He graduated from the National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw and from the High School of Arts in Supraśl. He worked for the Polski, Studio, Konsekwentny, and Adekwatny theatres in Warsaw, as well as for the Teatr Telewizji.
