Organized from 1985 Festival of Modern Art its one of the most important events of the Białostocki Ośrodek Kultury. This is the oldest and the biggest such festival in our region which has shown inhabitants valuable and actually phenomena of modern arts, especially theater for several decades. Its presents events in the field of theatre (alternative, puppet, dramatic, and others) moreover film, music, dance, media, arts, etc. Our guests were Teatr Ósmego Dnia, Teatr Biuro Podróży, Needcompany, Tanztheater Derevo, Hiroaki Umeda, Teatr Chorea, Klaus Obermaier, Komuna Otwock and dozens artists both from Poland and Italy, Belgium, Romunia, Iceland etc.

A growing number of fans, participants and partners of DSW is evidence of the potential and role of the festival in the region.
