Dariusz Czerniak makes a living as a machine constructor. He has also been a part of Gliwice academia’s travellers. In the past, he was climbing in the Tatra Mountains, Alps, and Himalayas.

He has been leading camping trips for students in the Alps and Romanian Carpathians. The latter is the mountain range he has the biggest connection to. He was a co-writer of the Pascal’s “Romania” guide book

Western Pomerania is his favourite Polish region. He has kayaked down over 120 rivers there. His further travel destinations include Nepal and China, where he has recently made a hike around the Holy Mount Kailash.

According to Hinduism, Shiva, resides at the summit of a legendary mountain named Kailāsa, where he sits in a state of perpetual meditation along with his wife Pārvatī. He is at once the Lord of Yoga and therefore the ultimate renunciate ascetic, yet he is also the divine master of Yoga, Tantra.

Every year, thousands make a pilgrimage to Kailash, following a tradition going back thousands of years. Pilgrims of several religions believe that circumambulating Mount Kailash on foot is a holy ritual that will bring good fortune. The peregrination is made in a clockwise direction by Hindus and Buddhists while Jains and Bönpos circumambulate the mountain in a counterclockwise direction.
