A meeting with Wojciech Orliński

In association with “Gazeta Wyborcza” we have the pleasure of inviting you to a meeting with Wojciech Orliński, the author of the first biography of Stanisław Lem.

Wojciech Orliński (1969) – journalist, publicist and writer, author of travel, fantasy and journalistic books. He has been working for “Gazeta Wyborcza” since 1997, where he mainly writes on topics related to mass culture and the internet.

An expert in the works of Stanisław Lem. He wrote the book “What Are Sepulcas? Everything about Lem” (2007) – an encyclopedic guide to the writer’s works, as well as his biography – “Lem. The Life out of this World (2017), and a script for Borys Lankosz’ documentary about Lem “The Writer of Solaris”. He also wrote books “America Does Not Exist” (2010), “Route 66 Does Not Exist” (2012), “Stockholm of Stieg Larsson” (2013), and “Poland Does Not Exist” (2015).

Michał Nogaś (ur. 1978) – journalist, in the years 2000-2016 associated with Program III of the Polish Radio. In Radio Three he was taking up cultural topics, he was also the head of the editorial board. He co-founded “Radiowy Dom Kultury”, on Friday mornings he was discussing new books with Wojciech Mann. Nogaś also cooperates with “Tygodnik Powszechny”. From November 2016, he runs video series on literature on the “Gazeta Wyborcza” website.
