Adam Bielecki‘s presentation will tell us about the long way he had to go to become one of the leading young Himalayan mountaineers. The author will bring the audience closer to the topic of himalayism. He will also talk about his major achievements.

Adam Bielecki
34, born in Tychy. Mountaineer, traveller, a graduate of psychology at the Jagiellonian University. He has been climbing in the mountains for 18 years. A leader of several dozen expeditions in various mountain ranges on five continents. In 2000, at the age of 17, he was the youngest person to climb Khan Tengri in alpine-style. In 2011 he summited Makalu, the 5th highest mountain in the world. In 2012 Adam Bielecki with Janusz Gołąb made the first successful winter ascent of Gasherbrum I, thereby also achieving the highest elevation reached by man in winter in the Karakorum. In 2012, he also summited K2 without use of supplemental oxygen. In 2013 he made the first winter ascent onto Broad Peak..
