Aga Krysiuk since 2012 has made paintings and sculptures of an old and damaged vinyl records.This is an excellent example of a creative approach to upcycling which confers a new life to objects which lost their original function. It will be able to see a hand-cut vinyl portraits of the greatest personalities of Polish and international blues, jazz and rock’n’roll at the exhibition among others: Janis Joplin, BB King, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, Ryszard Riedel, Mira Kubasińska, Czesław Niemen, Grzegorz Ciechowski, Ryszard “Skiba” Skibiński.
The author has presented her works among others at: Międzynarodowy Festiwal Wielu Kultur i Narodów „Z Wiejskiego Podwórza”, XIII Spotkania z Naturą i Sztuką „Uroczysko 2013” in Supraśl, Międzynarodowy Festiwal Muzyczny „JAZZ BEZ”, and meetings like „WZORY” in Warsaw, „KONTURY” in Wrocław.
Vinyl paintings and sculptures are often devoted to charity, Aga Krysiuk cooperates with with the “Dar Serca” Foundation.Her portrait of Czeslaw Niemen was awarded the Grand Prix Vocal Competition “Niemenomania 2015”.
The exhibition of Aga Krysiuk Blues announces upcoming events in Bialystok Cultural Centre: Zaduszki Bluesowe (November 7) and 31st Autumn with the Blues.
