The older people, whose life is coming to its decline, are the main characters of the play. The inevitable line is painted for each of them in their own, special colours. Pension inhabitants spend their days according to the timetable; nevertheless it doesn’t prevent them from falling into different comic and tragic situations. After all, the old age is only the occasion to think about fragility of our life, when we can love and dream until the end.

Events of Pension “Belvedere” could happen everywhere and in any time. This is universal story about the most important things in our life without extra words. More precisely, without any word…

Matteo Spiazzi – Italian actor and director. He graduated from the Nico Pepe Academy of Drama in Udine, where he studied the art of Italian comedy of masks. Founder of the theatrical project “Cantieri Invisibili” – a unique troupe that creates performances in various styles – clownery, commedia dell’arte, cabaret.

As a theatrical educator, he cooperates with numerous cultural associations and institutes. Regularly conducts master classes on the specifics of commedia dell’arte in Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Poland, Estonia, Ecuador and Belarus.

Among the most striking directorial works of the last period: “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by William Shakespeare ( Maribor Puppet Theater, Slovenia), “Viva Commedia!” by Ricardo Peppa and “The Mistress of the Inn” by Carlo Goldoni (the Maxim Gorky National academic dramatic theatre, Belarus).

Belarusian National Puppet Theatre
Founded in 1938, the oldest puppet theatre in Belarus. The plays attract the audience with a fresh and unexpected vision of national, foreign, classic and modern literary work. They are also notable for their conceptual direction and scenic design, outstanding acting technique and fascinating supporting music. Flash-animation and multimedia tools used in the shows help create significant and unforgettable performances.

Belarusian National Puppet Theatre received many awards at puppet theatre festivals held in Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Belgium, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, France, Switzerland and Estonia.
