A love story with a happy beginning and a sad ending set in a computer game. Its fixed and unchangeable qualities remind of social norms and limitations, leaving the protagonist with very few chances to fight for her choice in life.

A lonely woman Alyona nurses her mother, who has lost her speech and mind to Alzheimer’s. The daughter works from home and watches travel TV shows. One day, she gets a chance to entirely change her life.

13-year-old Mariam lives with her father in slums of Tbilisi. They barely make a living, being forced to steal at times. Along with the struggle against poverty, Mariam also has to deal with the facts of becoming a woman and the fear that her father would betray her in order to make money.

Marinko is an assistant worker in the tow-away service. He lives in a cheap rented flat in Zagreb and has only one friend although it sometimes seems better not to have even that one. Recently, he has been having visions of the Virgin Mary everywhere.

Despite his young age, Vytis has been a drug addict for over a decade. After finding himself at the threshold of death, he was brought to a rehab centre where he is given a chance to piece together the puzzle of his life.
