Freedom and censorship in the times of post-truth

We have the pleasure of inviting you to a panel discussion within the 34th Contemporary Art Days Festival

Freedom and censorship in the times of post-truth

May 26th, 2019, 12:00
Fama club, 5 Legionowa Street
free entry

Rather than be mere entertainment alleviating everyday problems, contemporary culture should aim at active participation in the public discourse through broadening its scope, posing difficult questions or bringing up controversial issues. When catchy fake news and media manipulation distort reality, they also affect certain aspects of people’s lives, their expectations and the liberty to pursue their own interests and preferences. These challenges only add to the persistent perils of violence, xenophobia or muzzling critical voices.

A group of artists and intellectuals will share their experiences and reflection on the topical issues.

Moderated by Anna Łazar
