Jacek Hugo-Bader – “Gazeta Wyborcza” reporter. He loves Russia and the former Soyuz countries where he spent almost four years in total. On a bike, he covered all of Central Asia, the Gobi desert, China, Tibet, and Lake Baikal crossed by canoe. In the winter of 2007, he traveled alone from Moscow to Vladivostok, what he described in the “White Fever” reportage collection. He rode a Russian rover. In 2011, his “Kolyma Diaries” appeared, the fruit of a lonely trip to Kolyma. He is also the author of the book “The Long Film About Love. Return to Broad Peak”, “In the Paradise Valley among the Weeds”, nominated for the NIKE Literary Award, and co-authored the documentary film “Jacek Hugo-Bader. Correspondent from Poland”.
