“My India” is a reportage from Jarosław Kret’s trip, who visited India for the first time with the intention of recording the Delhi performance of Witold Gombrowicz’ “The Marriage”. In his book he describes how festivals such as Holi, or the tripartite feast of Durga Puja, Navratri, and Dasara are celebrated in India. He also writes about Indian music, dress styles, food, or sacred cows. He discusses the position of women in Indian society and the problem of arranged marriage. He also writes about specifically Indian religions: Sikhism and Jainism.
