Lech Janerka – one of the most original personalities of Polish rock music. Singer, bassist, songwriter and composer. Inspired by new wave, post-punk, reggae, post-industrial electronics or even classic pop, Janerka defies simple categorization. He creates very personal music where seeming hit songs hide other layers of meanings. He is also an original author of pithy lyrics, in which surrealism, bitter irony and synthetic comments are often highlighted by Dada-like neologisms.
Janerka debuted in the late 70s, but his real career started after forming Klaus Mitffoch band in 1981. Three years later they released their only self-titled album, considered one of the most important records in the history of Polish rock music. After disbanding in 1984, Janerka started his solo career. So far he has released 7 albums, the last one in 2005. He also composes film music and played a cameo role in one of them. During MAD he is going to present his newest songs as well as old hits.
