We have the pleasure of inviting you to a meeting within the 9th “Curious about the World” Culture and Travel Festival:

Mateusz Waligóra: By Bike to the World’s End

October 27th, 2019, 8 PM
Forum cinema, 5 Legionowa Street
tickets: 10 PLN, available at the Forum cinema’s box office (5 Legionowa Street), BCC/LZC’ box office (19 Warszawska Street) and on bilety.bok.bialystok.pl

Mateusz Waligóra will talk about cycling trip through South America and Australia. Two years, two continents, 16,000 kilometers by bike, seven high mountains and a million adventures!

It will be a story about making dreams come true somewhere on the Andes peaks, because it is in the high mountains that Mateusz feels best, as well as: how to cure a cold with an armadillo potion or is it possible to travel by bicycle to the edge of the world. We will also hear about the inhabitants of Andean villages who do not have watches, but always have time, about Polish footprints in the Argentine province of Misiones and about climbing. Yes, there will be a lot about it!

Mateusz Waligóra
A specialist in competitive expeditions to the most desolate places on the planet. He particularly enjoys deserts, from Australia to Bolivia. He has a bicycle traverse of the longest mountain range in the world – the Andes, a lonely bicycle ride through the most difficult road marked out on Earth – Canning Stock Route in Western Australia and a lonely pedestrian traverse of the largest salt desert in the world – Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia.

In 2018, as the first man in the world, he crossed alone the Mongolian part of the largest Asian desert – Gobi!
