Sarakina is a group of musicians which join Balkan, folk and world music as well. They using instruments such as bagpipes, tambourines, tapan, accordion and double-bass what makes Sarakina very original band.
The ‘Sarakina – live in studio’ is the latest, already fifth album, the band has been creating Balkan ethnic music for years. The album presents a wide range of Balkan songs by using ethnic instruments. Its invites a listener to go on the journey through the Balkans, presents popular ‘standards’ of western Bulgaria such as “Jovano, Jovanke”, “Ne si go prodovaj Kolio” or “I izlezi Giurgio”.
The vocalist Liza Sacharczuk was a guest appearance in the recording. An audiophile quality of an album was achived thanks to the work of sound engineer Tadeusz Mieczkowski.
The album was live recorded in concert (02.2014) in Radio Bialystok. The graphic design of the album’s cover made by Adam Iłenda from the Studio68.
The album was realized under the patronage of the Polskie Radio Dwójka and Polskie Radio Białystok.
