SIKSA is: the last survivor of a choreographic punk revolt to come; custom-made rebellion so no auctions please; a clickbait controversy; gravely serious, bass-fuelled, two-headed songstress; an unqualified noise-fitness trainer in strength and endurance; freiheit-five aerobics practitioner; pure imbalance and instability that clashes with the needs of participants; evidently the worst promotion of Gniezno since Mieszko’s babtism; for Czechs what Ewa Farna is for  Poles; a former super-hero who shuns macho music for she only champions danger/discomfort bass grrrl punk!

This musical, drawing from the previous album material, is a performative realization of an ambition to make cinema, but both the ambition and the film taste like a stale pie in the sky. It is a whirling tale of a girl who recalls her childhood visits to her mum’s wardrobe to impersonate other women. The film is a means of bringing back her girlhood, but also a flamboyant goodbye to glitter and unicorns.

In a series of micro-performances “Stabat Mater Dolorosa” forcefully stabs the present, regardless of all risks. In SIKSA’s musical the characters may follow, reject or distort the script and Piotr Mach’s camera is yet another weapon SIKSA uses in her personal blow to this f*** world. A murderous girl with a gun image has been her almost unnoticed artistic expression since 2014.
