Świetliki

The band Świetliki was formed 22 years ago in Krakow and immediately had a strong live debut – their first audience during a meeting of poets were such figures as Czeslaw Milosz and Wislawa Szymborska, Polish Nobel Prize winners in literature. In 1993 Świetliki released their first album “Ogród koncentracyjny”, well-received by critics and listeners, just like the band’s second album, “Cacy Cacy Flaeishmaschine” (1996), nominated for Polish Fryderyk music awards in 2 categories: alternative music and poetic song. Their other albums are” Perły przed wieprze” (1999), “Złe misie” (2001), featuring Katarzyna Nosowska and Lech Janerka, and ” Las Putas Melancólitas ” (2005 ), in which a full-fledged member of the band was a famous Polish actor Boguslaw Linda. Their latest album, released after eight years, is entitled “Sromota”.

Over the years of existence, the group has well established their own unique music style, giving lots of concerts and gaining a large group of loyal listeners. Their greatest personality is Marcin Świetlicki, not just a singer, but above all a poet, winner of many literary awards, singing his own poems.

Band members: Marcin Świetlicki (vocals), Grzegorz Dyduch (bass guitar, double bass, guitar), Marek Piotrowicz (drums), Tomasz Radziszewski (guitar), Zuzanna Iwańska (viola), Michał Wandzilak (keyboards).
