We will go for a walk in one of the districts of Białystok – Białostoczek. The walking route will lead you through streets with buildings and small architecture that testify to the past of the neighbourhood.

The beginnings of Białostoczek go back to the 16th century, when it was a village then. It was incorporated into the city on May 19, 1919, but until the 1970s the district retained its rural character. However, the then authorities decided to change the neighbourhood with single-family houses into a district of multi-family blocks.

During the walk, we will discover the memory of the former village of Białostoczek, we will also try to find places that testify to its past. The participants of the walk will also hear the accounts of residents – witnesses of history, and thanks to their home archives they will see how the estate has changed.
