A teleplay, which is an adaptation of the story by Gustaw Herling-Grudziński. “The Venetian Portrait”, like other stories and essays of an outstanding writer in exile, had its first publication in “Kultura” magazine. In this narrative, as in all his writings, the connections between the hero-narrator’s and author’s biographies are very numerous and strong.
