VerTeDance Company: Correction

We invite you to a performance within the 32nd Modern Art Days Festival:

VerTeDance Company (CZ)
Correction

J. Wilkowski’s School Theatre, 14 Sienkiewicza Street
May 26th, 2017
6 PM
55’

After the performance, Jadwiga Majewska will lead a meeting with the artists.

A play by Jiří Havelka is about lack of freedom, responsibility and our capabilities to make decisions. Correction shows us, that achieving freedom often goes hand in hand with loss. First of all, however, it proves that lack of freedom of decision can also give a sense of comfort, relief, and sense of security.

VerTeDance was founded in 2004 by two dancers and choreographers Veronika Knytlová and Tereza Ondrová and a lighting designer Pavel Kotlík. The group has created nearly 20 projects so far. It was also honoured with a number of important awards. VerTeDance is the only dance group in the Czech Republic, that won the most prestigious dance performance prize in the country three times: Silent Talk (2005), What is the Weight of Your Desire (2012), and Correction (2014).
