„Facebookistan”
Direction: Jakob Gottaschau, Denmark, 2015, 59’.
Facebook demands that its citizens are open and connected, yet Facebook as a company is far from open and transparent. With 1.4 billion users, Facebook is the world’s largest social media space and the company stores personal data on an unprecedented scale. Facebook is perhaps the most visible symptom of an increasingly closed and centralised internet, but is also a social revolution with great democratic potential.
“Facebookistan” takes a close look at Facebook, exploring how several individuals and organisations are hit hard by Facebook’s policies and by their working conditions. The film examines through case examples, how Facebook as a business challenges two of democracy’s basic principles: the right to free speech and the right to privacy.

„Sonita”
Direction: Rokhsareh Ghaem Maghami, Iran/Germany/ Switzerland, 2015, 90’.
As a female rapper in conservative Iran, Sonita’s talents are a liability. But Sonita insists on dreaming big. Her beats are as solid as stones, her rhymes are fierce, and her videos are a piercing howl against the constant injustice, fear, and sexism women must endure. It was only a matter of time before her charismatic presence and spirited eyes changed her fortune, and with the help of acclaimed director Rokhsareh Ghaemmaghami, she is suddenly offered a scholarship that leads her on a dangerous trip back to Afghanistan and ultimately to Utah. All the while, Sonita’s conservative mother insists she must be married off soon, at a price, and threatens to derail Sonita’s life at its most critical juncture. http://www.sundance.org/projects/sonita

This psychodrama helps Oleg to become more confident in his wish to find girlfriend. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5229198/?ref_=nm_flmg_dr_1

„Ukrainian Sheriffs”
Direction: Roman Bednarczuk, Ukraine/Latvia/Germany, 2015 r., 80’
Like a bird, the Ukrainian flag flies along perched on the car of two affable “sheriffs” deputized by the mayor of a village in southern Ukraine. There’s a sly bum whose gift is not to work. There’s a guy who puts an anaconda in his woman’s shed.
The advent of Euromaidan, and draft-dodgers abound. Town folks are dipping
in icy water and laughing, but are they divided in their loyalty? These sheriffs are taking you along for the ride.

„Swedish Theory of Love”
Direction: Erik Gandini, Sweden, 2015, 90’
Sweden is typically portrayed as having a perfectly organized society, a raw model and symbol of the highest achievements of human progress. The Swedish Theory of Love digs into the true nature of Swedish life style, explores the existential black holes of a society that has created the most autonomous people in the world.
